Philippe Palazzi is a senior executive in the retail and food industries, best known today for his role as Chief Executive Officer of Casino Group, as well as Chairman of Monoprix and Naturalia. His career reflects deep expertise in operations, commercial management, international leadership and corporate transformation. He began his career in 1994 at Metro France, where he held various operational roles in sales and purchasing, particularly in the fresh produce business, until 2001. He then built an international career spanning more than fifteen years, with assignments in Greece, Hungary and Italy. During this period, he took on increasing responsibilities and eventually became Managing Director of Metro Italia. In 2015, he joined Metro’s global headquarters in Düsseldorf, where he held several strategic group-level positions. He also served as Chairman of Metro France from January 2016 to April 2020, and as Chairman of Pro à Pro. In June 2020, Philippe Palazzi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lactalis. In that role, he led a reorganisation of the group’s European structure, reinforcing his reputation as a transformation-oriented leader capable of managing large-scale operational change. In March 2024, he joined Casino Group as Strategy and Transformation Director, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Casino Group later that month, following the company’s financial restructuring.
