Philippe Keryer is a French business executive known for his expertise in telecommunications, corporate strategy and innovation, and for his senior leadership role at Thales. A graduate of Supélec and EDHEC Business School, he began his career in 1990 at Alcatel, where he held a series of strategic management positions. He was appointed President of the Mobile Radio Division in 2005 and later President of Evolium, a joint venture between Alcatel and Fujitsu. These roles established his reputation as a leader able to manage technologically complex businesses and innovation-driven organizations. In 2007, Keryer joined the board of Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell and became President of Alcatel-Lucent’s Mobile Access division, overseeing GSM and UMTS radio access activities. In 2009, he was promoted to President of the Networks & Platforms business group and joined the Alcatel-Lucent Executive Committee. From 2013 to 2015, he served as Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, a period in which he played an important role in repositioning the group, supporting the Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia merger process, and advancing innovation through Bell Labs. In August 2015, he was appointed Chairman of the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation, reflecting his broader commitment to sustainable development and social innovation. Keryer joined Thales in January 2016 as Senior Executive Vice-President, Strategy, Research and Technology, and became a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, he has helped shape the Group’s technological priorities and long-term roadmap, with a strong focus on research, digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, secure connectivity and critical systems.
