Patrice Lucas is the Chief Executive Officer of Verallia, one of the leading glass packaging companies in Europe. He was appointed to the role in 2022, when Verallia separated the roles of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. His mandate has been closely linked to the group’s strategy of profitable growth, industrial performance improvement and acceleration of its CSR roadmap. As chief executive, he oversees the implementation of the company’s strategic, operational and commercial priorities, with a particular emphasis on decarbonisation, process innovation and long-term value creation for shareholders and stakeholders. Before joining Verallia, Patrice Lucas spent more than 30 years in the automotive industry. He began his career at Valeo in 1991 as a quality engineer after studying mechanical engineering at the University of Technology of Compiègne and earning a Master’s degree in Quality Management from ENSAM Paris. At Valeo, he held a broad range of engineering and industrial leadership roles, including plant director in Mexico and later general manager of a European business unit. In 2006, he moved to PSA, later Stellantis, where he took on major executive responsibilities. In 2010, he was appointed Light Commercial Vehicles Programme Director, responsible for product refresh and lifecycle management. In 2014, he became Executive Vice-President and a member of the Global Executive Committee, in charge of Corporate Planning and Strategy, with oversight of strategic plans, R&D and CAPEX allocation, and business development, including the Opel acquisition. In 2018, he became Head of Latin America Operations, and in 2021 he was named Deputy Chief Engineering Officer at Stellantis. At Verallia, Lucas brings the profile of a seasoned industrial executive with deep expertise in strategy execution, large-scale operations and international business management. His background in highly capital-intensive and competitive environments is particularly relevant for a listed company managing industrial investment, operational efficiency and the transition toward more sustainable manufacturing models.
