Pascal Bouchiat is a senior French corporate executive best known for his role at Thales, where he serves as Senior Executive Vice President, Finance and Information Systems. He joined Thales in April 2012, bringing with him a long career in industrial and corporate finance built first at Rhône Poulenc and later at Rhodia. That combination of operational industry experience and financial leadership has shaped his reputation as a disciplined, pragmatic executive with strong expertise in capital allocation, performance management and risk oversight. His educational background is equally distinctive. Bouchiat graduated from both the École de Management de Lyon and the École Supérieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon, and he also earned a Trium Executive MBA jointly delivered by New York University Stern School of Business, the London School of Economics and HEC Paris. This academic path gave him a rare blend of scientific training, management capability and financial sophistication, which later proved valuable in complex multinational environments. Before joining Thales, he held progressively senior positions within Rhodia. He became head of group management control in 1997, then finance director of the Consumer Specialties division in London from 1999 to 2001. He subsequently took charge of the group’s economic control functions, before being appointed head of corporate finance and treasury in 2004. At the end of 2005, he was promoted to deputy chief executive officer and chief financial officer of Rhodia, with responsibility for finance, information systems and Rhodia Business Services. At Thales, Bouchiat oversees management control, international financing, tax, risk and insurance, investor relations, treasury and information systems.
