Olivier Roussat is the Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues, one of France’s leading diversified services groups, active in construction, energy and services, media and telecoms. A graduate of INSA Lyon, he has spent most of his career in network, technology and telecommunications leadership roles, progressing from technical and operational responsibilities to top executive positions. He began his career in 1988 at IBM, where he held several roles in data network services, service delivery and pre-sales, before joining Bouygues Telecom in 1995 to help set up the network management centre and the company’s network processes. He later became head of network operations and telecoms and IT service delivery. In May 2003, he was appointed network manager and joined the Bouygues Telecom Executive Committee. In January 2007, he took charge of the performance and technology division, which brought together cross-functional technical and IT departments, including networks, information systems, process engineering, purchasing, corporate services and property development. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Telecom in February 2007 and became Chief Executive Officer in November 2007. From May 2013 to November 2018, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Telecom, before becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bouygues Telecom until February 2021. His career within the Group continued with his appointment as Deputy CEO of Bouygues in August 2016, followed by his elevation to Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues in February 2021. He has also served on the boards of key subsidiaries, including Colas, Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier, Equans, Bouygues Telecom and TF1. His profile combines deep technological expertise, strong operational discipline and extensive governance experience across a large listed industrial group.
