Olivier Bossard is a French real estate executive known for a career closely tied to development, investment, and the transformation of retail and office assets at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (URW). He joined the company’s Office Division in 1998 as Portfolio Manager, later becoming Head of Asset Management and Deputy General Manager of the division. His internal progression led to senior leadership responsibilities, including Executive Vice President in charge of Development and Strategy during the 2006 Unibail–Rodamco merger, followed by roles as Managing Director of the Office Division and Managing Director of Development. Before joining URW, he worked at Paribas and COGEDIM, building a strong background in finance, real estate, and operational leadership. In April 2013, Olivier Bossard was appointed Chief Development Officer of the group, a position he held for ten years. In January 2021, he became Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Management Board, taking on a central role in capital allocation and the company’s deleveraging strategy. In April 2023, URW announced that he would transition to the role of Special Advisor to the CEO, continuing to support the US deleveraging programme and the group’s development pipeline. This move underlined his continued importance in the company’s long-term strategic execution. Within URW, Bossard has been associated with several landmark and transformational projects, including Trinity Tower in La Défense, Westfield Mall of the Netherlands in Leidschendam, and the major urban redevelopment of Les Ateliers Gaîté in Paris. His expertise spans complex transaction structuring, value creation through development, asset management, and the densification of retail-led mixed-use destinations. His academic background in architecture, history, and urban planning from Sciences Po Paris and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris gives him a distinctive profile well suited to the strategic challenges of listed real estate groups focused on urban regeneration and sustainable development.
