Olivier Blum is the Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric, a role he has held since November 4, 2024. A long-serving executive of the group, he joined Schneider Electric in 1993 in France and has built a more than 30-year career across the company’s businesses, geographies, and central functions. His background gives him a broad command of industrial operations, commercial execution, human capital, and corporate strategy. Before becoming CEO, he served as Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer from 2020 to 2022, helping shape the group’s corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions agenda, sustainability priorities, and quality assurance. From April 2022, he led Schneider Electric’s Energy Management business as Executive Vice-President, overseeing the company’s global portfolio of energy management technologies, software, and services across all end markets, including fast-growing segments such as data centers. Between 2014 and 2020, he was Chief Human Resources Officer, where he steered the company’s people strategy and played a key role in the group’s cultural transformation and leadership development. Earlier in his career, Blum gained extensive international experience in Asia, serving as Regional Head of Strategy for China, Regional Managing Director for India, and later as global head of the Home & Distribution division from Hong Kong. This progression reflects a leader with a strong cross-functional and cross-regional perspective, able to connect market growth, operational discipline, talent development, and innovation. He is widely associated with Schneider Electric’s emphasis on electrification, energy efficiency, and sustainability as drivers of long-term value creation. His track record also includes strengthening the company’s strategic positioning and reinforcing sustainability as a core business principle rather than a standalone objective. A graduate of Grenoble Business School, Blum is regarded as an experienced, globally minded executive whose leadership fits Schneider Electric’s profile as a world leader in energy management and automation.
