Marc Vettard is a long-standing executive within STEF, the European leader in temperature-controlled logistics and transport. Born on 7 December 1964, he holds a Master’s degree in Transport and Logistics from Université Lumière Lyon 2. He joined STEF in 1983 and built his career entirely within the group, taking on progressively broader operational responsibilities in France and Italy. Over more than four decades with the company, Vettard developed deep expertise in refrigerated transport networks, operational management, field performance, and international business development. He notably served as Director of Transport Operations in France before being appointed Managing Director of STEF Italy between 2011 and 2015, a key market for the group. In January 2016, he became Deputy Managing Director of STEF Transport and joined the Executive Committee. In April 2018, he was named Deputy General Manager of the STEF Group, and on 30 April 2019 he was promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of operations. His career reflects a strong operational leadership style rooted in hands-on industry knowledge, team management, and the ability to support the expansion of a major European food logistics platform. He has been closely associated with strategic priorities such as service quality, network reliability, continuous improvement, and multi-country coordination. One notable example is his role in the ISO 9001:2015 certification of STEF Transport France, which highlighted the group’s commitment to quality management and customer satisfaction. In 2022, Vettard also joined the board of Union TLF as STEF’s representative, reinforcing his standing as a respected executive in the French transport and logistics ecosystem. His profile combines operational depth, sector credibility, and long-term experience in the temperature-controlled supply chain.
