Kelly Martin serves as Chief Financial Officer of Apollo Global Management, where he provides financial oversight for Apollo Asset Management and Athene, along with group-wide functions including treasury, investor relations, strategic finance, tax, and audit. He joined Apollo in 2012 and is part of the firm’s senior leadership team. Prior to Apollo’s merger with Athene in 2022, he also served as Co-Chief Operating Officer from 2019 through 2021. His career reflects a long track record in global finance and professional services. Before joining Apollo, Martin worked at Barclays Capital from 2008 to 2012, where he held senior responsibilities including Managing Director, CFO of the Americas, and Global Head of Financial Control for the Corporate and Investment Bank. From 2000 to 2008, he was with Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Earlier in his career, he spent 13 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, including time in the Financial Services Group in New York; he was admitted to partnership in 1999. That background gave him deep experience in financial control, accounting governance, regulatory reporting, risk oversight, and the management of large, cross-border finance organizations. At Apollo, Martin is closely associated with financial discipline and the execution of an integrated alternative investment platform. His responsibilities support capital allocation, investor transparency, and operating execution across a major U.S.-listed financial group. He also serves as a trustee of The Hotchkiss School and as a board member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation, underscoring a broader commitment to governance and public service. He earned a degree in Commerce, majoring in Finance and Accounting, from the University of New South Wales. Overall, Kelly Martin is recognized for senior-level experience across global financial institutions and for his ability to oversee complex finance functions in a highly regulated, multinational environment.
