About KAI SEIKKU
Kai Seikku is an internationally experienced executive with a career spanning strategy consulting, consumer-facing leadership roles, and senior management in advanced industrial technology. In the Soitec context, he served as a non-independent director and contributed to the company’s governance and strategic oversight. His board role at Soitec was part of a broader profile built around industrial transformation, international business leadership, and experience in capital-intensive technology companies. In 2025, Soitec disclosed that he did not seek re-election at the end of his term, marking the conclusion of his board mandate. Since 2010, Seikku has led Okmetic Oy as President and CEO, overseeing one of the world’s leading suppliers of tailor-made, high value-added silicon wafers for MEMS, sensors, discrete semiconductors, and analog circuits. After Okmetic was acquired by NSIG Group in 2016, he also took on executive responsibilities within NSIG, an industrial holding focused on semiconductor materials and its ecosystem. This combination gave him deep exposure to the advanced materials segment and to the strategic issues surrounding industrial capability and supply chains. Before joining Okmetic, Seikku served as CEO of HKScan Corporation from 2005 to 2009, following leadership roles at McCann-Erickson Finland and Hasan & Partners. He began his career in consulting, first at Bossard Consultants and then at Boston Consulting Group, where he worked in Finland and Sweden as a consultant and project leader. He holds a Master of Economics degree from Aalto University in Helsinki. Beyond his executive responsibilities, Seikku has held multiple board positions and governance roles, including at Soitec, where his semiconductor background and cleantech strategy expertise were especially relevant. His career reflects a distinctive blend of strategic advisory work, marketing leadership, general management, and corporate governance, with a particular focus on European and Asian technology industries.
