Jérôme Michiels is a French executive with a strong background in private equity, corporate finance and listed-company governance. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Bureau Veritas, where he was co-opted in December 2019. Within the Board, he has been closely associated with audit and risk oversight, and Bureau Veritas also identifies him as its cybersecurity sponsor at Board level. That positioning reflects the company’s view of him as a director who brings a strong understanding of strategic priorities, risk management and long-term value creation. In parallel, Jérôme Michiels holds senior responsibilities at Wendel, where he has built a long career. He joined Wendel at the end of 2006 as Investment Director, was promoted to Director in 2010, became Managing Director in 2012, and was appointed Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2015. He is also Wendel’s Executive Vice-President, a member of the Management Committee, and a voting member of the Investment Committee.
