Jean-Marc Duplaix is a key figure in Kering’s senior leadership and currently serves as the Group’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Kering Jewelry. His career reflects a progression from audit and corporate finance to strategic operating leadership at one of the world’s leading luxury groups. A graduate of HEC and holder of a DESCF in accounting and finance, he began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1994. Over a ten-year period, he worked on statutory audit and financial advisory assignments for major CAC 40 industrial groups, building a strong technical foundation in financial discipline, internal controls, and corporate processes. In 2005, Duplaix joined Groupe M6 as Deputy Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. He also took on governance responsibilities as chairman of Multi 4, a TNT broadcasting operator, and as a board member of FC Girondins de Bordeaux. This period broadened his exposure to media, governance, and executive oversight in complex organizations. He joined Kering in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer and remained in that role until 2023. Over more than a decade, he supported the Group’s evolution into a fully integrated luxury player, helping to strengthen corporate functions, financial discipline, capital allocation, and the sustainable growth of Kering’s Houses. He was also a board member of Puma until 2019. In July 2023, Kering promoted him to Deputy CEO in charge of Operations and Finance, with responsibility for the Group’s corporate functions and for improving efficiency and control. From September 2025, he continued in an evolved governance framework as Kering’s Chief Operating Officer, working alongside Luca de Meo. In March 2026, his role expanded further with the launch of Kering Jewelry, a new entity created to structure and accelerate the Group’s jewelry business. As CEO of Kering Jewelry, he oversees leading Houses such as Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, and Qeelin, while also coordinating industrial capabilities. His profile combines financial rigor, operational governance, and strategic experience in luxury, making him one of Kering’s most influential executives.
