Jean-Baptiste Duzan is a highly experienced French corporate governance professional with a career spanning banking, automotive industry leadership, and investment-oriented family holding structures. A graduate of École Polytechnique, he began his career at Citibank in 1970 before joining Renault in 1982. At Renault, he held several senior financial and strategic positions, including Director of Financial Services at Renault VI, Chief Financial Officer of DIAC, Director of Financial Affairs at Renault, and leader of the Safrane vehicle project. In 1992, he became a member of Renault’s Executive Committee and later took charge of purchasing. He then played a foundational role as Chairman and founder of Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization and subsequently served as Group Controller. Duzan later built a strong reputation as an independent director and audit specialist. From 2003, he reported to Carlos Ghosn and served as a board member and chairman of the audit committee at Renault Credit International.
