Hanane El Hamraoui currently holds a central leadership role at Hydrogène de France (HDF Energy), a French industrial group focused on hydrogen solutions and high-power fuel cell technology. On 19 September 2024, HDF’s Board of Directors appointed her Deputy CEO, giving her responsibility for progressively coordinating the group’s operations in France and abroad. Prior to this governance move, she served in senior industrial leadership roles, including Industry Director, with a mandate closely tied to the company’s manufacturing and industrial scale-up strategy. With more than ten years of experience in industrialization and project development across renewable energy and hydrogen markets worldwide, Hanane El Hamraoui has built a reputation as a technically grounded and execution-focused executive. Her career at HDF is strongly associated with the development of the company’s first plant in Blanquefort, near Bordeaux, on the former Ford site, one of the most symbolic industrial projects in the French hydrogen sector. HDF also describes her as the initiator and main driver of the company’s IPCEI programme, a strategic European framework supporting large-scale innovative industrial projects. Her background combines mechanical engineering, industrialization, energy, and complex project management.
