Guillaume Lesage holds a key position in the operational leadership of Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager. He is currently the group’s Chief Operating Officer and, according to recent Amundi disclosures, heads the Operations, Services and Technology division. His scope includes support functions, IT, middle office, dealing, and the development of Amundi Technology, while also overseeing Amundi’s activities in Luxembourg and Ireland. As a member of the executive management team, he sits at the center of the group’s execution, digital transformation, and industrial efficiency agenda. His career has been built within the Crédit Agricole ecosystem. Before joining Amundi, Guillaume Lesage spent 19 years at CACIB (Crédit Agricole CIB), where he held a series of roles across finance, IT, operations, and risk, including responsibilities in organization, projects, and counterparty risk management. He later served, from 2011, as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, overseeing finance, IT, operations, insurance distribution, and institutional partnerships. He started his professional career at Rhône-Poulenc. He is a graduate of École Centrale Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD. At Amundi, Lesage has been closely associated with the strengthening of the group’s technology and operational platform. He was involved in the launch of Amundi Technology, a dedicated business line designed to offer technology products and services and to position Amundi as a long-term digital partner for financial institutions. He also contributed to strategic initiatives involving Fund Channel and the scaling-up of distribution services. His profile combines operational transformation expertise, deep knowledge of complex banking environments, and the ability to align technology, services, and risk control in support of the group’s growth strategy.
