Erik Swedberg is a senior Dassault Systèmes executive and currently serves as Executive Vice-President, Americas. Since 2020, he has also been a member of the company’s Executive Committee, with responsibility for the Americas organization, spanning North America and Latin America. In this role, he oversees field operations across the region and helps drive growth in Dassault Systèmes’ strategic sectors: Manufacturing Industries, Life Sciences & Healthcare, and Infrastructure & Cities. Swedberg’s career at Dassault Systèmes began in 2006, when the company acquired MatrixOne. He initially led a team of business consultants, gaining hands-on experience in enterprise transformation, product system architecture, and service-oriented business models. He later took on major business transformation initiatives in the Aerospace and Defense sector, supporting global customers as they addressed complex operational and engineering challenges. Over the course of his career, he has built broad expertise across tech sales, professional services, business consulting, and sales leadership. He has worked extensively in high-tech, automotive, industrial equipment, and aerospace & defense, which has given him a wide industrial perspective and a strong ability to connect technology with business outcomes. Among his notable contributions was helping define new service business models and advising major customers such as GE Healthcare, Eaton, and Pentair on product system architectures. A particularly important part of his track record is the seven-year global management of the relationship with Boeing. That mandate reflects both his ability to handle strategic multinational accounts and his credibility in long-term customer engagement. In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director, North America, with the mission of strengthening Dassault Systèmes’ position in the region and turning North America into a key growth engine for the company. Today, as head of the Americas, Swedberg plays a central role in the company’s sectoral and geographic diversification. He works closely with customers, partners, users, and influencers to support digital transformation, market expansion, and sustainable growth. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
