Éric de Rothschild occupies a central place in the modern history of the Rothschild house. Within Rothschild & Co, he currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board and as President of Rothschild & Co Concordia SAS, a key entity in the group’s ownership structure. His career is closely tied to the rebuilding and strengthening of the French Rothschild business after the upheavals of the twentieth century. He joined Paris Orléans in 1974, where he initially became Chairman of the Board of Directors, at a time when the franchise still needed to regain stability, recognition and long-term strategic direction. Educated at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, he developed a profile that combines family stewardship, institutional governance and patrimonial management, making him particularly suited to long-horizon leadership. Beyond finance, Éric de Rothschild was one of the main driving forces, alongside David de Rothschild, behind the reunification of the English and French branches of the Rothschild family.
