Dr. Dominik Höchli is an experienced biopharmaceutical executive who joined Abivax’s Board of Directors on April 22, 2025. His appointment came at a pivotal time for the company, as Abivax was preparing for major clinical and regulatory milestones around obefazimod, its lead development candidate. At Abivax, he brings deep expertise in immunology, global medical strategy, and product positioning in highly competitive therapeutic markets. Höchli built most of his career at AbbVie/Abbott, where he spent roughly 20 years in international leadership roles. He served as Vice President of Global Marketing for Immunology and later as Head of Global Medical Affairs. Those roles gave him broad experience across immunology franchises, scientific communication, the alignment of clinical development with commercialization, and engagement with healthcare professionals and regulatory stakeholders. Following his AbbVie tenure, he served as Interim CEO of Catapult Therapeutics from 2021 to 2024, a hematology-oncology company. He is also the founder of Abinode, a pharmaceutical strategy consulting firm, underscoring his position as a senior advisor on development strategy, go-to-market execution, and value creation in life sciences. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Molecular Partners AG, where he is a member of both the Audit Committee and the Research & Development Committee. This combination of board-level governance experience and operational biopharma leadership gives him a hybrid profile that spans science, business, and public-company oversight. At Abivax, his contribution strengthens governance at a critical stage of clinical development.
