David Loew is an international pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical executive known for leading complex organizations, accelerating growth, and driving operational transformation in highly regulated environments. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of Ipsen since July 1, 2020, and also sits on the company’s Board of Directors. In this role, he oversees a global biopharmaceutical group focused on rare diseases, oncology, and neuroscience, with a strong emphasis on innovation, execution, and international expansion. Before joining Ipsen, David Loew was Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi Pasteur Vaccines, a position he held from 2016. During that period, he led a growth strategy supported by acquisitions and licensing agreements, while also implementing transformational initiatives designed to strengthen manufacturing capacity, compliance, and overall operational excellence. He had previously joined Sanofi in July 2013 as Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Europe, with responsibility for prescription medicines, consumer healthcare, and generics across Europe. Earlier in his career, Loew started in 1990 at Coopers & Lybrand and Hewlett Packard in the United States before joining Roche in 1992.
