Claire Dumas is a senior French banking executive known for her expertise in finance, risk management and large-scale organizational transformation within a listed banking group. She graduated from EDHEC Business School and completed INSEAD’s Executive Programme. She began her career at Deloitte in 1992 as an Audit & Advisory Manager, building a strong foundation in financial control, risk analysis and reporting quality. She joined Société Générale in 1998 and developed her career internally across several management roles within the support functions of Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking. According to Société Générale’s governance disclosures, she later moved to the Group Risk division in 2009, where she was successively promoted to Deputy and then Chief Operational Risk Officer for the Group. In 2011, she became Enterprise Risk Management Programme Director, a strategic role at the heart of the Group’s risk framework strengthening. In October 2014, she was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Retail Banking in France, and in September 2017 she became Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Group’s French and international retail banking activities as well as financial services.
