Bertrand VERGNE is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of OCTOPUS BIOSAFETY, a French company focused on autonomous robotics, artificial intelligence, and solutions for biosecurity and animal welfare. His trajectory within the group became more prominent in January 2020, when he joined the company as Deputy CEO. Trained as an agronomist, he was brought in during a period of strategic change, with a clear mandate to support restructuring and help reposition the business commercially. On 16 April 2021, the Board of Directors appointed him Chairman and CEO, succeeding Olivier Somville. Since taking the helm, Bertrand VERGNE has steered OCTOPUS BIOSAFETY toward a more focused strategy built around two core business areas: building disinfection and animal welfare. The acquisition enabled OCTOPUS BIOSAFETY to consolidate its product offering, continue the distribution of existing solutions, and expand its operational capabilities.
