Benoît Torloting is a French telecom executive and the current Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Telecom. A graduate of École Polytechnique and the École Nationale des Mines de Paris, he began his career in 1989 at REOSC and then at Thomson Multimédia. In 1992, he moved into the public sector, where he served notably as technical advisor in the office of the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry. This combination of industrial and public-sector experience helped shape a career built on operational discipline and strategic execution. He joined Bouygues Telecom in 1999 and gradually built a deep understanding of the company’s marketing, sales, digital, customer-care, and operational activities. Over the years, he held a series of important positions, first in marketing and commercial functions, then as head of the retail store network in 2009. In 2010, he became a member of Bouygues Telecom’s executive management committee. In 2012, he was appointed head of B&YOU and digital, and in 2014 he took charge of the Fixed and Mobile Consumer business units. His responsibilities expanded further in 2015, when he was named Deputy CEO in charge of the Consumer and Professional markets, before overseeing the full Consumer and Professional scope from 2019 onward. In January 2020, he became Chief Operating Officer for Consumer and Enterprise activities, with additional responsibility for B2B and diversification businesses. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in January 2021 and became Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Telecom on January 1, 2022. Torloting is recognized for an operating style focused on innovation, customer experience, and service quality. Under his leadership, Bouygues Telecom has strengthened its positioning around fiber, WiFi, convergent offers, and digital customer journeys, while continuing to develop both consumer and business activities. His elevation to CEO reflects the group’s confidence in a leader with strong end-to-end knowledge of telecom operations and the ability to steer transformation in a highly competitive market.
