Ashish Tandon currently holds a key leadership position at Assystem as Managing Director of Assystem in India and as a member of the group’s Executive Committee. His career reflects a steady progression through engineering, energy, and large-scale industrial project management. He graduated as an Electrical Engineer in 1981 and began his career with English Electric, later known as Areva, where he built early technical expertise in demanding industrial environments. He then moved to Reliance Energy Limited, where he led the EPC business and played a role in the construction of six supercritical power plants, a significant milestone that underscores his experience in major energy infrastructure delivery. In 2011, Ashish Tandon was appointed President of BGR Energy, strengthening his reputation as a leader able to manage complex organizations and growth-oriented businesses. In 2013, he joined Egis India as Managing Director, before becoming Managing Director of Assystem Stup in 2019. At Assystem, he has supported the group’s expansion in India, including the opening of new offices to help scale operations and business development across strategic markets. His responsibilities expanded further in 2024 when he led the acquisition of L&T IEL, a strategic move designed to increase Assystem’s market share in infrastructure, transportation, and energy, while also broadening the group’s capabilities in design and planning.
