Agathe Bousquet is a French business leader widely recognized in the communications, advertising, and client-management sectors. Since 2017, she has served as President of Publicis Groupe in France, a role created to accelerate the group’s transformation under the “Power of One” model, which brings together creativity, media, data, and technology around client needs. Since January 2025, she has also been co-President of Leo, Publicis Groupe’s new creative constellation combining Publicis Worldwide and Leo Burnett. In parallel, she helps lead Publicis Conseil, one of the group’s flagship creative agencies in France. Bousquet studied at Sciences Po Paris and holds both a master’s degree in political philosophy and a master’s in management from Paris-Dauphine University. She began her career in the non-profit world, where she developed an early reputation for commitment and mobilization. From 1996, she worked full-time with Solidarité Sida, leading fundraising, advocacy, and prevention campaigns, while also contributing to the creation and growth of the Solidays festival. This background shaped a leadership style built on purpose, teamwork, and public engagement. In 2001, she moved into the communications industry at Euro RSCG Corporate, later Euro RSCG C&O, where she handled major accounts and gradually expanded her responsibilities in development, communications, and general management. In 2012, she was appointed Chair and CEO of Havas Paris. Her move to Publicis in 2017 was strategically important: she was tasked with strengthening the integration of Publicis’ French operations and driving greater commercial and operational alignment across agencies. Her leadership has been associated with a stronger collaborative culture, a more integrated value proposition for clients, and major creative recognition, including Publicis Conseil’s success at Cannes Lions 2024. She is also known for her commitment to diversity, sustainable transformation, and more responsible advertising, making her one of the most prominent female executives in the French creative industries.
