David Zeitoun holds a central leadership role at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE, where he serves as Executive Managing Director, General Secretary and Group General Counsel. He sits close to the Group’s executive decision-making process and is responsible for legal oversight, governance support, compliance, risk management and insurance matters. In a listed, multinational real estate group, his function is critical to ensuring that strategic decisions, transactions and organizational changes are legally sound and appropriately governed. His career at Unibail is both long-standing and closely tied to the company’s evolution. After studying business law and earning a postgraduate degree focused on construction and urban planning law, he started his career in real estate, building a practical understanding of the sector that would later become one of his key strengths. He then joined the group in the late 1990s, initially in legal roles connected to the real estate business, before moving steadily into broader responsibilities. In 2002, he became Group Legal Director, and following the 2007 merger with Rodamco, he was appointed Group General Counsel.
