Jean-Philippe Trin is a long-standing executive within the Bouygues group, where he has built most of his career since 1987. A graduate of ESTP, he began in hands-on construction roles at DTP, giving him a strong operational foundation in civil works and major infrastructure projects. In 1994, he joined VSL in Hong Kong and progressively took on broader international responsibilities across Asia, Central Europe and the Middle East. His career then advanced through successive leadership roles at VSL and Intrafor, before he was appointed Chairman and CEO of VSL and DTP Terrassement in 2004. He later moved into broader group leadership, becoming Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Energies & Services in 2009. In 2015, he was appointed Deputy CEO of Bouygues Construction, responsible for Bouygues Travaux Publics, DTP and VSL, before his remit was reorganized around the Civil Works division in 2018. Since October 2019, he has also been responsible for the Concessions division. In this role, he oversees strategic activities that combine infrastructure delivery, specialized engineering, project structuring and the long-term development of concession assets. His career reflects recognized expertise in construction, civil engineering, specialized contracting and international business development. He has helped support the growth of Bouygues Construction in complex markets while contributing to industrial transformation, innovation, R&D and operational performance. His deep knowledge of project execution, specialized subsidiaries and international regions makes him a key figure in Bouygues Construction’s operational governance.
