Isabelle Guichot is a highly experienced French executive in the luxury and retail sectors and is currently Chief Executive Officer of SMCP, the Paris-based group behind Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac. A graduate of HEC Paris, she has built a career spanning more than 30 years in international luxury houses, with deep expertise in brand strategy, commercial development, international expansion and operational leadership. According to SMCP’s 2024 Universal Registration Document, she began her career at Cartier International in New York, then held senior positions at Lancel, Van Cleef & Arpels, Sergio Rossi and Balenciaga within the Richemont and Kering groups. She served as Chief Executive Officer of Sergio Rossi and later as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Balenciaga for ten years, from 2007 to 2017, during a period of strong international growth for the house. In 2017, she joined SMCP as Chief Executive Officer of Maje and became part of the group’s Executive Committee. In August 2021, she was appointed Chief Executive Officer and director of SMCP, following the departure of Daniel Lalonde. Since then, she has represented managerial continuity and has led the group’s strategic roadmap in a context shaped by accessible luxury, digital acceleration and growing expectations around sustainability and corporate responsibility. Her career reflects a strong understanding of global luxury markets, a refined sense of product and customer expectations, and an ability to develop fashion and leather-goods houses in highly competitive environments. She also served on the Board of Directors of Chargeurs SA until April 2025, underscoring her governance experience. At SMCP, Guichot is closely associated with strengthening the management structure, driving brand growth and improving the group’s operational execution.
