About Florin ROTAR
Florin Rotar is an experienced technology executive who was appointed Executive Vice President and Group Chief Technology Officer (EVP, Group CTO) of Atos Group in September 2025, joining the Group Leadership Team. In this role, he is responsible for helping shape and execute the company’s technology agenda, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and secure end-to-end digital journeys. His appointment reflects Atos’ broader effort to accelerate its transformation and strengthen its position as a global AI-powered technology partner. Prior to Atos, Rotar spent 25 years at Avanade, where he built a broad international leadership profile. He joined as the company’s first employee in Europe and entrepreneurially led the region before moving into several senior roles, including Chief Innovation Officer, Global Modern Workplace Lead, and Global Digital Lead. These positions gave him deep expertise in digital transformation, workplace modernization, innovation scaling, and the adoption of cloud and AI-enabled solutions across large enterprises. His early career included roles at Procter & Gamble in 1996 and Andersen Consulting in 1998. He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in Sweden. Atos highlights his global perspective, industry influence, and entrepreneurial mindset as key assets for driving the Group’s AI-led strategy. Rotar has also received external recognition, including being named among Entrepreneur Magazine’s “Top 10 CTOs To Watch in 2023” and receiving the “2024 Chief AI Officer of the Year” award from HMG Global Leadership Institute.
