Yves Revol is a key historical leader of CLASQUIN, the French listed logistics and freight-forwarding group known for its international supply-chain solutions. Holding a master’s degree in economics, he began his career with international experience at CFAO before joining CLASQUIN in 1976. He then moved through a series of operational leadership roles, first as a sales employee, then Sales Director, and later Managing Director. In 1982, he led the buyout of CLASQUIN together with three partners, and in 1983 he became CEO. That transaction marked a decisive turning point in the company’s history, as CLASQUIN grew from a single office in Lyon into a multinational logistics platform. Under his leadership, CLASQUIN developed a strong specialization in air freight and built a substantial presence along the Europe-Asia-Pacific corridor. The group expanded internationally through a combination of organic growth, geographic rollout and selected acquisitions, while also strengthening its footprint in Africa, the Middle East and North America. Yves Revol’s career is closely associated with disciplined growth, international expansion and the structuring of a long-term shareholder base. He also played an important role in capital transactions, helping to reinforce the company’s financial and governance framework as it evolved into a more complex international organization. Since 1 January 2019, Yves Revol has served as Executive Chairman of CLASQUIN, and since 1 January 2021 he has also chaired the Board of Directors. In this capacity, he continues to shape the group’s strategic direction while leaving day-to-day management to the executive leadership team. His profile combines deep industry expertise in freight forwarding, a long-term international vision, and strong governance experience. He is widely identified with CLASQUIN’s entrepreneurial culture, its historical growth story, and its transition from founder-led expansion to a modern listed-company governance model.
