LHYFE is a European energy-transition company focused on the production and supply of green and renewable hydrogen. Founded in 2017 in Nantes by Matthieu Guesné, the group was created with the ambition of industrializing local, low-carbon hydrogen production for mobility and industry. Its business model is built around water electrolysis powered by renewable electricity, with an integrated approach covering site design, plant operation, logistics, and industrial-scale hydrogen delivery. LHYFE is listed on Euronext Paris under ISIN FR0014009YQ1 and ticker LHYFE. The company’s history has been shaped by several pioneering milestones. In 2021, LHYFE inaugurated its Bouin plant in Vendée, described as the world’s first industrial green hydrogen production site directly connected to a wind farm. In 2022, it launched SeaLhyfe, the world’s first offshore renewable hydrogen production pilot site, underlining its technological ambition and engineering capabilities. Since then, LHYFE has progressively expanded its industrial footprint across France and Europe, with operating sites as well as projects under construction or expansion. As of the latest available information, the group operates four installed production sites in France and Germany, representing 21 MW of capacity, and it expects installed capacity to increase by 70% in 2026. In 2025, LHYFE also obtained RFNBO certification for its sites, one of the most demanding European standards for renewable hydrogen. This strengthens both its commercial positioning and its regulatory credibility. The company has established itself as one of Europe’s leading renewable hydrogen producers based on water electrolysis, supported by an integrated logistics chain that includes transport containers, storage sites and distribution partnerships. LHYFE’s customer base primarily spans two end markets: mobility, including hydrogen refuelling stations for light and heavy vehicles, and industry, where renewable hydrogen is used to decarbonize combustion processes and industrial applications. The company has built references in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, and it reports a presence across a broad European footprint with a team of more than 200 experts. Its strategy is centered on scaling industrial capacity, standardizing plant deployment, and focusing on mature European markets. LHYFE’s core value proposition is to deliver locally produced, genuinely renewable, traceable and certified hydrogen to help decarbonize sectors that are hard to electrify.
