Legrand is a leading French industrial group and a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures. Listed on Euronext Paris under ISIN FR0010307819, the company designs, manufactures and markets solutions for power distribution, wiring, installation control, connectivity, lighting, and power and automation systems for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Legrand is widely regarded as the world’s only global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, with an offering adapted to local standards and a footprint that spans nearly 90 countries through facilities and nearly 180 countries where its products are sold. The company’s origins date back more than a century. Its current identity traces to 1904, when the business was acquired by Frédéric Legrand, Charles Alary and Jean Joquel and became Legrand, Alary & Joquel. Over time, the group expanded through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, building a portfolio of strong brands, technologies and market positions. This long history has helped Legrand establish deep expertise in electrical standards, product innovation and local market adaptation, all of which are central to its competitive positioning. Legrand serves several major end markets. Residential applications represent around 35% of sales, datacenters less than 20%, non-residential spaces such as offices, hotels and healthcare facilities more than 45%, and industrial buildings and infrastructure around 5%. This mix reflects a diversified exposure across mature and growth-oriented segments, with datacenters, building digitalization and energy efficiency acting as important growth drivers. The group markets its products under internationally recognized brand names such as Legrand and Bticino, supported by a broad industrial and commercial presence worldwide. In late 2024, Legrand also strengthened its position in the circular economy through a majority investment in Circul’R, a French circular-economy advisory firm. From an investor perspective, Legrand stands out for its long-term strategy combining innovation, operational discipline and sustainability. Its 2024 Universal Registration Document was filed with the French market regulator on April 9, 2025, confirming the continuity of its governance, financial reporting and strategic framework. In March 2025, the group launched its sixth CSR roadmap for 2025-2027, centered on five priorities: diversity and inclusion, climate, circular economy, customers and responsible business. This ESG framework supports Legrand’s positioning as a high-quality industrial franchise with global scale, resilient cash generation and a strong reputation among institutional investors.
